For people who enjoy cultural entertainment shows and want a less uproarious night, a water puppet show is a possible choice for that. Water puppetry appeared first time in Hanoi in the 11th century when it originated in the Northern of Vietnam. The puppet was made out of wood and performed in front of a bamboo rod and using the water as a stage. Most of the skits from the water puppet show are based on Vietnamese traditional living in rural and folklore being told among generations. Being held mostly on Saturday nights in Truong Chinh Street, the water puppet show attracts many audiences from local to international visitors who come for colorful and exciting performances.
