Vietnam Saudi Arabia Tourism Cooperation Boosted in 2025
Vietnam Saudi Arabia tourism cooperation took center stage on November 12, when Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Hồ An Phong, visited Saudi Arabia. He met with Mr. Meshal Hamid Al-Hassaan, Vice Chairman of the Saudi Arabia–Vietnam Business Council, to discuss strengthening ties in tourism and investment.
Saudi Arabia seeks stronger cooperation with Vietnam
Mr. Al-Hassaan welcomed the Vietnamese delegation warmly. He highlighted the growing relations between the two countries. He expressed interest in expanding partnerships with Vietnamese businesses in the coming years.
The Saudi Business Council focuses on tourism, hospitality, and real estate. Currently, three major hotels are under construction, managed by international chains like Hilton and Accor. Other projects include real estate and energy infrastructure, such as petrol station networks. These developments offer new cooperation opportunities with Vietnam.
Boosting tourism and two-way travel
Saudi Business Council members who visited Vietnam were impressed by the natural beauty, culture, and tourism potential. Mr. Al-Hassaan suggested enhancing cooperation to make Vietnam a favorite holiday destination for Saudi families, while welcoming Vietnamese tourists to Saudi Arabia.
Direct flights proposal
He proposed direct flights between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. This would increase tourism and promote trade and investment. Initially, seasonal or event-based charter flights could be used for flexible travel.
The Council also suggested easier visa procedures. They plan to invite KOLs and influencers to experience and promote Vietnam on social media.
Vietnam welcomes investment partnerships
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized that tourism and real estate are closely linked. Cooperation in these sectors benefits both countries’ economies. Vietnam and Saudi Arabia have great potential for joint development in investment and tourism.
To achieve this, businesses in airlines, travel, hotels, transport, and restaurants should collaborate. Authorities and tourism associations must also support these efforts. Vietnam’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia will help facilitate travel and business exchanges.
Vietnam supports flexible visa policies. These policies will encourage tourism and investment, while ensuring safety and convenience for travelers.

Developing tailored tourism products
Both countries agreed to create tourism products suited to cultural preferences. They will organize cultural promotions, roadshows, and artistic exchanges. Saudi KOLs and content creators will be invited to experience Vietnam and promote its destinations.
Business meetings and workshops will help develop joint tour packages. Vietnam will invite Saudi investors and travel companies for field trips, and vice versa, to strengthen cooperation.
A promising future
The meeting reinforced the commitment to expand tourism and investment ties. With direct flights, visa support, and promotional collaboration, Vietnam–Saudi Arabia relations are set to grow quickly.
