Severe Flooding in Central Vietnam After Days of Heavy Rain
Heavy rain over several days has caused serious damage across provinces in Central Vietnam. Water levels of the Ba River and Ha Thanh River in Dak Lak and Gia Lai rose rapidly, leading to deep flooding. Many houses are almost fully submerged, leaving residents trapped and forced to climb onto rooftops while waiting for rescue teams.

From the night of November 19 to the morning of November 20, rescue forces evacuated thousands of people from flooded areas in Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. In Tay Hoa Commune, rescuers used boats to move residents to safety, especially households with children and elderly people.

In Nha Trang, authorities used canoes to transport families from flooded neighborhoods in Tay Ward. Heavy rain continues this morning in many parts of central Nha Trang. Several streets are more than one meter underwater, making rescue operations extremely difficult.
