K-Food Fair 2025 in Hai Phong | Korean Festival Vietnam

A Taste of Korea Arrives in Hai Phong

The coastal city of Hai Phong just hosted its most exciting weekend yet. The K-Food Fair 2025 made its debut on November 1–2 at European Square, Vinhomes Royal Island (Vu Yen Island).

The event drew hundreds of thousands of visitors, creating a vibrant Hallyu wave in northern Vietnam. For years, Korean culture fans in the North had to travel to Hanoi for such events. This time, Hai Phong proudly became a new destination for international festivals.

A Korean Wonderland in the Heart of the City

The K-Food Fair 2025 turned Vu Yen Island into a lively corner of Korea. Colorful booths displayed Korean dishes, cultural workshops, and entertainment zones.

Visitors could “travel around Korea in one day.” They enjoyed famous dishes like kimbap, tteokbokki, odeng (fish cake), Korean fried chicken, and cheese hotdogs. Premium products such as Korean pears, red ginseng, and seaweed were also available.

“This is the first time Hai Phong has a Korean festival of this scale,” said Nguyen Thao, a local resident. “My whole family loved it. We had food, fun, and great performances right here in our city.”

Hands-On Experiences: Kimchi & K-Dance

The fair offered much more than food. Visitors joined kimchi-making workshops, danced at the K-Dance stage, and explored zones about Korean art, language, and writing. Families with children especially enjoyed these interactive activities. They brought Vietnamese audiences closer to Korean life and culture.

Jiyeon (T-ARA) Ignites Hai Phong’s Stage

The biggest highlight was the Vietnam–Korea Music Concert on November 1. The stage featured modern LED screens, strong sound, and stunning lights.

Vietnamese stars Cong Duong and Tang Duy Tan energized the crowd before the night’s most anticipated act — Jiyeon of T-ARA. It was her first performance in Hai Phong.

As Jiyeon sang hits like Roly Poly and 1 Min 1 Sec, fans sang along under a sea of lights. It was an emotional moment that connected generations of K-pop lovers.

Vu Yen Island: Hai Phong’s New Festival Hub

Vu Yen Island, developed by Vingroup, was the perfect venue. It is becoming a new hub for entertainment, shopping, and cultural tourism in northern Vietnam.

The island hosts attractions like VinWonders Vu Yen, Vinpearl Golf, Vincom Mega Mall Royal Island, and Vinpearl Horse Academy. These facilities make Vu Yen ready for more world-class events in the near future.

Strengthening Vietnam–Korea Ties

The K-Food Fair 2025 was co-organized by Vingroup, the Embassy of South Korea in Vietnam, and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT Center). It marked another step in the growing cultural partnership between the two nations.

Past events like K-Food Fair 2023 at Ocean City and the opening of K-Town in Hanoi laid the foundation. Bringing the event to Hai Phong shows strong confidence in the city’s cultural and tourism potential.

A New Chapter for Hai Phong

With hundreds of thousands of attendees, vibrant performances, and rich cultural exchange, K-Food Fair 2025 proved Hai Phong is ready to shine on the international festival map.

Locals and tourists can expect even more global-scale events soon. Vu Yen Island is no longer a quiet area — it is now the heart of Hai Phong’s new cultural era.
