International Tourists Deeply Impressed by “Vang Mai Khuc Khai Hoan” Exhibition at Hoa Lo Prison
HANOI – On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day, the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Site is hosting a special exhibition titled “Vang Mai Khuc Khai Hoan” (Eternal Song of Triumph). The exhibition has drawn thousands of local and international visitors eager to explore the capital’s heroic history and the spirit of resilience that defines the Vietnamese people.
A Moving and Powerful Historical Display
From the very first days of opening, the exhibition has welcomed large crowds, leaving a lasting impression on foreign tourists through its vivid and emotional storytelling. The immersive displays help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the indomitable will and courage of Hanoi’s citizens during wartime.
Maria Lopez, a visitor from Spain, shared her thoughts:
“I was deeply moved after seeing these images of Hanoi’s people during the war. The exhibition is beautifully designed — I can truly feel the pride and resilience of the Vietnamese nation.”
Daniel, a tourist from the United Kingdom, added:
“Before visiting, I only knew about the Vietnam War from books and documentaries. But seeing these authentic materials here made everything much more real. It’s incredible how this city has recovered so quickly — from destruction to becoming such a beautiful, friendly place.”
Three Thematic Sections – A Journey from Resistance to Peace
The exhibition “Vang Mai Khuc Khai Hoan” (Eternal Song of Triumph) is divided into three sections, guiding visitors through key stages of Hanoi’s wartime and postwar journey:
-
Unyielding Spirit – Revisits December 1946, when Hanoi’s army and citizens responded to President Ho Chi Minh’s Call for National Resistance, marking the beginning of the long struggle against French colonial forces.
-
Hanoi – The Day of Victory – Presents rare documents and photos from the period after the Geneva Agreement, when Hanoi was under French control for 80 days. Despite the enemy’s sabotage and propaganda, the city remained united and steadfast.
-
Hanoi’s Charm and Vitality – Celebrates modern-day Hanoi, a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. The displays highlight cultural heritage, traditional craft villages, and the city’s elegant yet dynamic lifestyle.
A Must-Visit Historical Destination in Hanoi
With its creative presentation combining historical depth and emotional storytelling, “Vang Mai Khuc Khai Hoan” is more than just an exhibition — it’s a heartfelt tribute to the courage, endurance, and rebirth of Vietnam.
