From November 6 to 9, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will host the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival at the Hanoi Museum — a landmark of the city’s rich culture.
This annual festival celebrates the elegance of the Vietnamese Ao Dai and promotes Hanoi as a safe, friendly, and creative destination.
It also highlights the Ao Dai as a symbol of Vietnam’s intangible heritage and strengthens the bond between culture and tourism.

With the theme “Hanoi Ao Dai – Shining Heritage Essence”, this event is a highlight of the Thang Long – Hanoi Festival 2025.
The festival honors Vietnamese traditions and identity while inspiring pride in the Ao Dai — a graceful symbol of national culture.
Through art shows and performances, it reflects Hanoi’s elegant, cultured, and creative spirit.

Festival Highlights
1. Opening Night: Tradition Meets Modern Style
The opening show, titled “Hanoi Ao Dai – Shining Heritage Essence”, gathers top Vietnamese designers, artisans, models, and artists.
They will present Ao Dai collections that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design, capturing the soul and rhythm of Hanoi.
2. Exhibition and Experience Space
At the Hanoi Museum, visitors can explore more than 80 booths.
These include Ao Dai designers, craft villages, fashion brands, artisans, universities, and travel businesses.
Guests can try on Ao Dai, learn about handmade fabrics, and discover how this national dress continues to evolve.
3. Design Contest: “Ao Dai – Connecting Heritage”
Young designers can join the Ao Dai design contest, showcasing new ideas that combine heritage and innovation.
4. Ao Dai Parade and “Touch Autumn Hanoi” Tour
On November 15, the Ao Dai Parade will take place around Hoan Kiem Lake. The streets will fill with color and flowing silk. Visitors can also join the “Touch Autumn Hanoi” open-top bus tour to admire the city’s landmarks in a unique way.
