ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026: Vietnam Strengthens Regional Tourism Cooperation

From 28–30 January 2026, a delegation from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will attend the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 (ATF 2026) and the TRAVEX International Travel Exchange in Cebu City, Philippines.

Held under the theme “Shaping the Future of ASEAN Tourism Together”, the ASEAN Tourism Forum is the largest annual tourism cooperation event in Southeast Asia, rotating among ASEAN member states.

ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 Key Activities

Alongside the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, ATF 2026 will feature a wide range of high-level meetings and events, including:

• The 29th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting

• The 25th ASEAN+3 Tourism Ministers Meeting

• The 13th ASEAN–India Tourism Ministers Meeting

• The 5th ASEAN–Russia Tourism Ministers Meeting

• The 63rd ASEAN National Tourism Organizations Meeting

• The 48th ASEAN+3 National Tourism Organizations Meeting

• The ASEAN Tourism Awards Ceremony

• Joint press conferences of ASEAN Tourism Ministers

ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 and TRAVEX 2026

The TRAVEX International Travel Exchange is one of the most important components of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, attracting strong interest from tourism businesses, partners, and international buyers.

TRAVEX 2026 will include:

• Tourism exhibitions and destination showcases

• Business-to-business meetings between buyers and sellers

• Press conferences by ASEAN national tourism organizations

Vietnam Promotes “Vietnam – Timeless Charm” at TRAVEX

Vietnam will participate with a national booth at TRAVEX 2026, promoting the country’s tourism brand “Vietnam – Timeless Charm.” The showcase will highlight destinations and products aligned with ASEAN travelers and key international markets, including:

• Beach and island tourism

• Cultural and heritage tourism

• Nature-based and eco-tourism

• Urban and city tourism

• Supporting products such as golf tourism, medical tourism, wellness tourism, and MICE tourism

A special highlight at the booth will be promotional activities for Vietnam National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026, helping raise international awareness of this key national event.

Vietnam Tourism Press Conference and Investment Promotion

During ATF 2026, the Vietnamese delegation will also organize a Vietnam Tourism Press Conference, providing updates on:

• Tourism development results and trends

• New tourism products and services

• Tourism investment opportunities

• Visa facilitation and incentive policies

• Efforts to strengthen Vietnam’s tourism image and brand globally
