Developing an Archaeological Excavation Project for the Newly Discovered Ancient Shipwreck off the Coast of Da Nang

Recently, coastal authorities in Hoi An Tay Ward, Da Nang City, reported the discovery of an ancient shipwreck containing a number of historical artifacts. The MoCST has requested that the Da Nang People’s Committee:

• Conduct initial surveys and artifact assessments.

• Propose a preservation and excavation plan in accordance with cultural heritage and public investment regulations.

• Submit the project for approval and proceed with excavation efforts as soon as possible.
